We couldn’t fit all of the mountain elopements possible into one blog, there are simply too many! But I think we can all agree that mountains make a stunning and unforgettable backdrop to your dreamy elopement.

We hope sharing some of our favorite elopement destinations has you dreaming big. And if a mountain elopement is non-negotiable but you’re unsure where to go, that’s where we come in!

Tell us your hopes, dreams, and vibes, and we’ll guide you in the right direction—with locations, logistics, and all the love.

And yes despite all of the mountain elopement options, one of my most asked question of all time is… what do I wear?

What type of wedding dress should I wear for a mountain elopement?

When it comes to choosing the perfect mountain wedding dress, it’s all about ease, movement, and a little bit of magic.

Flowy silhouettes and breathable fabrics like chiffon or tulle are ideal for hiking, while shorter hemlines or detachable skirts give you even more flexibility (and flair). Don’t forget to factor in weather. Layers, cozy shawls, or a tailored jacket can go a long way in the alpine chill.

But most importantly you need to be comfortable. If a flowy white dress on top of a mountain isn’t your idea of a good time, that’s okay! Let’s explore that together and find the perfect kind of dress.

As always if you’re not sure where to start, we’ve helped dozens of couples figure out exactly what works for their location and vibe.

Your mountain elopement deserves to feel as breathtaking and one-of-a-kind as the view around you. Whether you already have a location in mind or you’re still figuring it out, we’re here to help you plan, capture, and celebrate it all.
