The Organic Moment is a company founded and operating within the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territories of many Indigenous Nations across what is now known as Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia, Canada. In Ontario, this includes (but is not limited to) the territories of the Anishinabewaki, Cree, Omàmìwininìwag, Wendake-Nionwentsïo, Haudenosaunee, and Anishininiimowin peoples. In Alberta, we acknowledge the traditional territories of many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples, including the lands covered by Treaties 6, 7, and 8, and the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani), the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations. In British Columbia, we recognize that much of the land remains unceded and is home to many diverse First Nations whose stewardship, cultures, and communities continue to shape these landscapes today. We honour and respect the enduring relationships Indigenous peoples have with these lands and waters, and recognize our responsibility to learn, listen, and tread gently in the places we work and gather.

As we document stories abroad, including in Iceland, we are committed to travelling thoughtfully, respecting local communities and landscapes, and following Leave No Trace principles to help preserve the places we are privileged to experience.
