Katie and John take headlamp wedding portraits near the Grotto and Indian Head Cove in Ontario

Nestled in nature’s embrace, Tobermory beckons couples seeking an intimate elopement to declare their love. With its pristine blue waters and rugged landscapes, this destination has emerged as a sanctuary for Ontario couples. Check out Katie and John’s intimate sunset Tobermory elopement below! Their adventure began chilling and enjoying some craft beer at the Tobermory Brewing Co. and enjoying the sunshine. Then, we drove to the trailhead and began hiking to the Grotto with camping packs and a picnic basket filled with goodies. After taking their time hiking and exploring through the rocky forest, we came upon the vast Indian Head Cove Beach. In their excitement, they went straight into their first dance along the limestone rocky beach and powerful waves around them. Then, we did some portraits along the Bruce Peninsula cliffside overlooking Georgian Bay.

From there we walked along the cedar trees and passed through the Grotto to a special and intimate spot where Katie and John could say their vows in private. After saying their vows and exchanging rings on a limestone rocky edge, they celebrated with a fun champagne pop! After, they settled in and enjoyed a cozy picnic with wings, champagne and some book reading as they watched the sunset. I loved how they wanted a slow, 8 hour day with lots of buffer room. This way, they could intentionally enjoy all of these moments along this stunning landscape without any rushing. To end their Tobermory elopement, we took some cool blue hour lantern photos before heading back on the trail with our headlamps and packs. Scroll down to check out their stunning adventure below!!
