01. Gladstone

For couples who value inclusivity and creativity, Gladstone is a historic and artful hotel that offers four unique wedding ceremony and reception spaces. The spaces include the Melody Bar, Bistro + Bar, Ballroom, and Robinson Room. Gladstone is located in West Queen West, a flourishing historical neighborhood full of local art galleries, restaurants, and hang-out spots. Couples can curate an entire wedding celebration and getaway at the Gladstone by booking one of their luxurious guestrooms and pairing it with one of the hotel’s wedding planning packages. 

02. The Drake Hotel

Planning a trendy boutique wedding or elopement? The Drake is an urban accommodation with a handful of unique ceremony and reception spaces. Located in West Queen West, this hospitable haven for performance art lovers is a cultural hub for locals and visitors of Toronto. During wedding celebrations, couples can choose to stay in one of three spaces — the “Classic Wing,” the “Modern Wing,”  or the “Rooftop Terrace Suite.” The Drake also offers an art gallery, music venue, and outdoor patio for celebrations!

03. Art Gallery Of Ontario (AGO) 

All are welcome at AGO! Full of some of North America’s most notable artist collections and exhibitions, the Art Gallery of Toronto is home to over 90,000 art pieces, from one-of-a-kind paintings to contemporary sculptures. The gallery regularly hosts up-scale weddings and elopements, with eight stunning event spaces for couples to choose from. AGO’s culinary team also creates custom dining experiences for each couple, including light bites and drinks for cocktail hour and a seated reception menu. 

04. Twist Gallery

Twist is a 5,000-square-foot New York loft-style event space and art gallery.  With floor-to-ceiling windows, a white brick interior, and gorgeous wooden flooring, it’s a beautiful place to say I Do in the city. The venue can accommodate up to 205 guests and offers wedding services such as catering, clean-up, and event rentals.

03. Four Seasons Hotel Toronto

Located in Toronto’s fashionable and high-end Yorkville neighborhood, the Four Seasons Hotel is only steps away from some of the city’s best designer boutiques and fine dining restaurants. Apart from premier guest rooms and suites, the Four Seasons offers a complete wedding experience for couples and their guests, from rehearsal dinner spaces to ceremony venues and honeymoon packages. The hotel has nearly two dozen dedicated event spaces based on guest count and design.  Additionally, Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is eco-friendly! They have active sustainability initiatives in place, including environmental programs, energy, carbon and water reduction, waste reduction, sustainable food and beverage, and more. 

04. Casa Loma

The perfect venue for a large fairytale wedding, Casa Loma is a grand, historic estate located in midtown Toronto. The grounds feature lush gardens and an elegant castle built in 1914. Ceremony and reception locations include the library, conservatory, glass pavilion + gardens, or terrace. Casa Loma offers a wide variety of services and amenities for couples and their wedding guests. These services include day-of access to a bridal suite, an executive chef-created banquet menu, all-inclusive bar packages, valet parking, and more. 

05. Graydon Hall Manor

This massive, elaborate manor is an elegant outdoor wedding venue built of stone and surrounded by gorgeous garden grounds and large, overhanging trees. Graydon Hall Manor hosts couture boutique weddings, from small to large celebrations. Couples can say I Do and celebrate over champagne toast with guests in one of the Manor’s many indoor or outdoor spaces.

06. The Henley Room

The Henley Room is a waterfront event space located on the northern shore of Lake Ontario.  The venue is a part of the Argonaut Rowing Club! All weddings celebrated here get access to the club’s private patio that looks out onto Lake Ontario. The Henely Room features a large brick fireplace, wooden floors, and white, industrial-style exposed ceilings decorated with string lights. Couples can choose to have their ceremony indoors or outdoors, followed by a buffet-style or plated reception provided by trusted vendors.

01. Planta 

Planta is a 100% plant-based restaurant that values environmental sustainability, with two locations in Toronto. Planta’s global and Asian-inspired menus at Planta Queen and Planta Yorkville are unique, flavorful, and full of locally sourced ingredients. For couples that want an intimate wedding and reception with close family and friends, both restaurant locations offer three different event spaces. Planta Yorkville is botanical-themed, with modern, warm interior design touches. Planta Yorkville’s menu is globally inspired, with a plant-based twist on classic dishes like pizza, sliders, and dumplings. The Planta Queen location is in the Entertainment District of Toronto. Its menu and architectural design are full of Asian-flare and eco-friendly details. 

02. Archeo 

Archeo is a private, romantic wedding venue and restaurant nestled in the heart of the Distillery District. The venue features an outdoor garden patio with twinkling string lights and a historic indoor event space with exposed brick walls and rustic wooden design touches. Archeo is well-known for its flexible and exquisite catering package that can be customized to fit cultural, dietary, and budgetary needs. This venue is perfect for intimate weddings and elopements, celebrated with loved ones.

03. Mildred’s Temple Kitchen

This hospitable restaurant in Toronto serves classic brunch and lunch favorites made of seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Mildred’s operates with a warm, heartfelt attitude. The friendly, naturally lit restaurant offers its large dining space to couples for small, private wedding celebrations that’ll make lovers and guests feel right at home. 

04. Sassafraz

Yorkville is full of unique, fine-dining restaurants, and Sassafraz stands out amongst the rest. Its clean, elegant, and modern interior makes it the perfect place for a luxe, intimate wedding or elopement celebration. With a few different spaces to say I Do and dine, couples can enjoy Canadian cuisine and drinks after saying vows in a private, city-chic event room.  

05. Cluny Bistro

Inspired by Parisian cafes, Cluny Bistro offers friendly French food and drinks in the historic Distillery District of Toronto. Best suited for couples hosting weddings or elopements with 65 guests or less, Cluny Bistro is the ideal rehearsal, venue, and reception location for small gatherings. Cluny’s space is vibrant and historic, with modern touches and French stylistic influences in decoration and design. 

06. La Palma

A Palm Springs-inspired oasis amidst the urban streets of Toronto, La Palma is bright, beautiful, and an excellent ceremony and reception space for couples planning a boutique, Califoria-chic wedding. With a patio, private dining room, and bar, couples and their guests can enjoy a craft cocktail hour with canapé, followed by a seated dining experience. La Palamo’s catering and restaurant menu ranges from light bites to indulgent dishes, all crafted with California-Italian cuisine and a touch of Mediterranean flavors in mind.

07. Steamwhistle Brewery 

Couples with a love for craft brews and elevated bar food have to check out Stemwhistle Brewery for their wedding and reception. Steamwhistle is HUGE, with three urban and up-leveled historic event spaces for couples to choose from: Pilsner Hall, Locomotive Hall, and Mezzanine Level. For large-scale celebrations, couples can do a venue buyout of the entire brewery, capable of fitting up to 6,000 guests!

08. Peter Pan

This venue is one of the oldest and most romantic restaurants in Toronto. Peter Pan offers French-Canadian cuisine with locally sourced ingredients. Located in a renovated historic brick building, the venue comfortably serves up to 120 standing guests. The venue’s most notable feature is its beautiful antique arched windows. There are three rooms and a terrace at Peter Pan, all equipped with modern luxuries and delicate vintage touches.

TORONTO WEDDING VENUES FOR NATURE LOVERS

01. Ward Island

Ward Island is a small Lake Ontario beach community just off the coast of Toronto. Couples can sail away to the island on a ferry boat and admire the Toronto city skyline. The island is small, quiet, and very walkable, with a white sandy beach that’s ideal for a late Summer Sunrise or Sunset elopement. The ferry ride is a short 20-minute trip, just far enough away from the city for a quiet celebration.

02. Scarborough Bluffs

A unique ceremony spot for beach lovers, Scarborough Bluffs is a stretch of nine Lake Ontario shoreline parks made up of beaches, trails, and cliff overlooks. Couples’ can hold a Sunrise beach ceremony at Bluffer’s Park, followed by a breakfast picnic and an afternoon spent swimming and relaxing in the Sun!

03. Rouge National Urban Park

Celebrate your elopement or wedding in one of the largest urban parks in North America! Rogue National Urban Park is a stunning ceremony location for Sunrise or Sunset elopements. Couples can say I Do at the park’s Rouge Beach along Lake Ontario and spend some time exploring the park’s waterways and trails. Rogue National Urban Park is dog-friendly! This makes it a great ceremony choice for those including their furry friends in their wedding day celebrations.

04. Evergreen Brick Works 

Evergreen Brick Works is a formerly abandoned brick factory and nature space. The city of Toronto transformed the space into a large, environmentally-friendly gathering area. The dynamic public space is a dog-friendly, sustainable ceremony location, offering a variety of private indoor venues, including an atrium, pavilion, gallery, and more! Couples can also choose to celebrate with an outdoor elopement on a rooftop or take wedding portraits at the top of The Lookout Path. 

05. High Park

A natural respite within the bustling city streets of Toronto, High Park is made up of nearly 400 acres. Its lush landscape and recreational offerings make it a popular choice for celebrations amongst tourists and locals. From Skaura trees, which flower Cherry Blossoms in late Spring, to lakefront grass spaces and well-maintained trails, couples who want to elope outdoors in Toronto need look no further than High Park. If you plan on eloping in Toronto in Autumn, High Park’s Fall foliage is breathtaking and bright, perfect for cozy, colorful elopements!

01. The Eglinton Grand

Existing as Toronto’s very own piece of old Hollywood, The Eglinton Grand is a well-known historic site across the city. The former movie theatre was renovated into a one-of-a-kind event and wedding venue many years ago and is still one of the most unique venues in Toronto. For couples looking to plan a wedding celebration at a venue that mimics the grandiose of Hollywood glamour, The Eglington Grand is a top-rated venue, highly experienced in hosting high-end weddings fit for movie stars.

02. Propeller Coffee

Coffee-loving couples, THIS venue is for you. Propeller Coffee is a premier roastery and cafe in Toronto’s Junction district, located in an old metal factory. It’s the perfect, quiet ceremony and reception space for intimate weddings and elopements in Toronto. Additionally, the historic building still has old Toronto charm, with renovated modern touches and industrial influences sprinkled throughout the venue. Propeller Coffee even provides custom bags of freshly roasted beans to be given as wedding favors to guests!

03. The Great Hall

With 4 Victorian-style event spaces renovated to include modern luxuries and timeless design touches, The Great Hall is a versatile and elegant choice for intimate or large weddings. My favorite is the Main Hall, which features chandeliers, a high-floor balcony that overlooks the reception space, and a large, red-curtained stage for live bands and entertainment.

04. Globe and Mail Centre

Dazzling views of downtown set Globe and Mail Centre apart from many other venues in Toronto. This venue is high above the bustling streets of the city and is able to accommodate up to 300 guests. The venue prides itself on helping create memorable wedding experiences for couples and guests. They provide stress-free planning packages for couples that are flexible and customizable.

05. The Symes

A newly restored building from the era of Art Deco, The Symes offers couples two large ceremony spaces with charming industrial ceilings and exposed red brick walls. The Grand Symes and the Scarlett Room are both open floor plans. Each space is easily transformed into a romantic ceremony spot for large weddings.
