The locations that Sarah and Tyler chose for their Summer Banff Elopement were so epic and fit their personalities so well! Their adventurous side pulled them towards Peyto Lake’s epic landscape and mini hike with their family. They were all exploring together at this expansive view while enjoying some beer and cannabis after they had a beautiful ceremony at Bow Lake.

Choosing to Elope in Banff?

Eloping in Banff during the summer allowed for more trail selection options that are only accessible in the summer season. Sarah and Tyler love the warm mountain weather as well so it was the perfect season for them as a couple. They are folks that love to hike but wanted something very easy and chill for their elopement day. We love sending our couples options that are easy to get to, not a lot of hiking and epic views at the same time, allowing for a super chill experience.

Sarah & Tyler’s Summer Banff Elopement Story

Sarah and Tyler are from Ontario, Canada and have a deep love and adoration for the Canadian Rockies. They wanted to elope in Canada and specifically Banff because the park has special sentimentality for them as a couple. They bonded over wanting epic views and the rest was history!

How Their Day Unfolded

After getting ready in Dead Man’s Flats, Sarah and Tyler decided to have a first look with all of their family present at their hotel, the Copperstone Resort. They had a group cheers before they all hopped in a limo and headed for their ceremony at Bow Lake. They wanted an intimate ceremony, away from the big crowds and Bow Lake was a perfect choice for them. They exchanged vows, rings, and tears of love and joy in front of their loved ones. Their summer Banff elopement was all coming together.

Although it was a windy day in Banff, they embraced the wind and took in the epic views around them. Once their ceremony concluded, they all had a celebratory cheers with their family and enjoy more beers together before beginning their first dances. Sarah and Tyler went first and had a fun and romantic dance together with the sunlight shining on them. Then Sarah and her Dad had a dance, followed by Tyler and his mom. It was so special, sweet and lovely to witness everyone tearing up with joy and excitement.

We all went in the limo towards Peyto Lake’s secret entrance that cut our hiking time in half!! Everyone loved how easy it was to get to the epic Peyto Lake view for their summer Banff elopement as sunset approached. We continued to capture couple’s portraits, family portraits, candids of celebrations with beers and cannabis all while exploring the area.
